This product came a little gritty, which I have experienced before in other shea butter products, but this one just a little more so. It makes it a little harder to use, but once I figured out how to emulsify it without dropping any (hint: keep your hand flat - parallel to the floor - to keep it contained while you rub it between hands to emulsify), it works great. I appreciate W&H offering an unscented product for those that prefer not to wear a scent or for their beard butter not to conflict with other scented products already in use.
Oh goodness-- sometimes temp variations during shipping can cause this texture change. If you like, we have an awesome blog post that explains how to 'reset' the butter so that it's smooth and creamy again. We hope that helps!
